Take OakDOT's survey about biking in Oakland
Thursday, Nov 09, 2017 | News Update
In October, The Oakland Department of Transportation (OakDOT) conducted a survey. It is being used to help inform decisions about road and bike lane improvements that benefit all of Oakland's diverse communities. This survey is just one part of our engagement plan for Let's Bike Oakland, an update to the citywide bike plan.
Randomly selected residents received a postcard in the mail with a unique ID code that they used to access the survey online. We collected 1,688 completed surveys citywide. These responses were weighted to accurately represent city demographics. We'll share results of this survey soon.
But first we want to make it available to everyone! Tell us about your experience biking in Oakland. Take our survey at: letsbikeoakland.com/survey
You can also continue to provide feedback by downloading Ride Report at https://ride.report. The app automatically knows when you ride your bike, and at the end of a bike trip, it asks you to rate your ride. This way, we can hear from Oaklanders where and when they feel comfortable riding (or not!)
