Candidate and Treasurer Training

Thursday, April 19, 2018, 10:00am - 12:00pm

Running for Elected Office in 2018?

Don’t Miss Our Training for Candidates and Treasurers!

Candidates and campaign treasurers are responsible for learning both state and local rules regulating their campaigns, and we are here to help you understand what your responsibilities are before, during, and after the election.

What Will I Learn?

Training topics include initial campaign activities, contributions and expenditures, recordkeeping, reporting, and post-election tasks. Presenters from the California Fair Political Practices Commission will cover committee duties under the Political Reform Act, and Public Ethics Commission staff will be on hand to cover requirements under the Oakland Campaign Reform Act.

Who Should Attend?

First time candidates and campaign treasurers are especially encouraged to attend, as well as repeat candidates and treasurers who want to stay up-to-date on state and local campaign finance rules.

Please R.S.V.P. to ensure sufficient seating and materials.

This is a free event.
